Cassville student wins award

Crowder fee changes coming

Fee changes were brought up for a second time in the Jan. Board of Trustees meeting. Crowder’s fee for online classes is an additional $7 per credit hour; the closest to that is Northwest Arkansas University, which charges an additional $18 per credit hour. Shift in Earth’s position brings change in Zodiac Signs

The zodiac signs may have some drastic changes coming up. MarketCrawl.com said that the Earth has changed positions because of the moons gravitational pull meaning that the zodiac signs have changed. There is said to be a new zodiac sign called “Ophiuchus”.
Ophiucus is the symbol of a man holding a snake; the symbol was from Ancient Egypt. The man was named “Imhotep” and the snake he carried symbolized medicine. There are many debates on what this actually means such as the zodiac changes not referring to anyone born before 2009.

The history of Valentine’s Day is not all that clear. The Holiday Spot.com states that the history of Valentine’s Day started with St. Valentine. It dates back to the Roman Empire; the ruler of Rome at the time (Claudius) banned marriage because he thought it made the men weak and that they would not make good soldiers.

Social Network earns award

  The movie Social Network has come through to the Golden Globe awards. It was the 68th annual Golden Globe awards ceremony and it was dominated by Glee and Social Network. MTV.com states that Social Network won four awards including best motion picture, drama, best director, and best screenplay.
